PressBritestream SSL NIC Receives Ready for Tivoli Validation From IBMIntegration with IBM Tivoli Access Manager Provides Combined SSL Off-load and Identity Management to End Users AUSTIN, Texas – February 28, 2005 – Britestream Networks, a catalyst for the creation of a ubiquitous, secure and private Internet, today announced that IBM has awarded the Britestream BN1010 SSL security NIC its “Ready for IBM Tivoli Software” certification. The “Ready for IBM Tivoli Software” certification verifies that the BN1010 has been tested and validated for seamless integration into Tivoli Access Manager implementations. The integration provides complete SSL off-load and end-to-end application data protection and access control. The Britestream BN1010 is the world’s first SSL/TLS security NIC that is completely self-contained and manages all facets of SSL/TLS processing on a single PCI card. It is a groundbreaking new concept that's resetting the bar for Internet security. By processing data in real time directly in the network stream, Britestream technology handles secure data—completely, autonomously and transparently—freeing up systems to handle the tasks they were designed for. The BN1010 couples plug-and-play simplicity and uncompromised performance with fortified protection. “IBM Tivoli Access Manager is a leading security management product”, says Mike Salas, vice president of marketing at Britestream Networks. “This certification verifies our customers can easily integrate the BN1010 into Access Manager environments to provide enhanced data protection with no impact on the host’s operating system. This is one of many examples of the BN1010’s unique plug-and-play integration ability.”About
