Britestream Invited to Participate in National Institute of Standards
and Technology’s Physical Security Testing Workshop
AUSTIN, Texas – September 26, 2005 – Britestream

announced that Richard Goble , Security Software Architect has been invited to
participate in the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST)
Physical Security Testing Workshop on September 26-29, 2005 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Workshop participants will discuss issues specific to physical security
testing and security requirements of cryptographic modules. Goble will
present “ FIPS 140 Validation for a ‘System-on-a-Chip’” along
with Chris Brychthe FIPS 140 Program Manager at
DOMUS IT Security Laboratory on Tuesday, September 27 to an audience
that will include researchers, technical developers, vendors, and testing
laboratories.
Specific topics to be discussed by workshops participants as part of
the 4-day event will include:
- Simple Power Analysis
- Differential Power Analysis
- Side Channel Attacks
- Fault Injection Attacks
- Other Invasive, non-invasive and semi-invasive attacks
- CMVP FIPS 140-3 Development
- Additional or Intermediate Levels of Physical Protection
- New technology embodiments (eg. embedded single chip)
- Physical security testing methods
