Britestream and nCipher Partner To Deliver FIPS Validated Product

AUSTIN, Texas – August 1, 2005 – Britestream Networks, the leading provider of 100 percent SSL offload network security solutions today announced that it has partnered with n Cipher plc (LSE:NCH), a leading provider of cryptographic IT security solutions, to deliver affordable and easily integrated SSL security. Today nCipher announced the availability of the nFast Ultra TM and the nForce Ultra TM both of which are based upon Britestream SSL offload technology and deliver plug-and-play functionality for processing all SSL traffic at unprecedented performance levels of up to 10,000 connections per second.

The nForce Ultra TM is a tamper-resistent SSL offload Network Interface Card (NIC) that has been independently validated to adhere to the United States and Canadian federal standard FIPS 140-2. It combines the full SSL offload capabilities of the nFast Ultra TM coupled with best-practice security for the cryptographic keys that form the foundation of SSL by protecting the confidentiality of each SSL session and the integrity of the server’s identity.
