Britestream Certified as Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server Partner

AUSTIN, Texas – January 16, 2006 – Britestream Networks, a leading provider of hardware-based data privacy technology, announced today that Britestream has joined Microsoft’s ISA Server Partners Program.  As a certified ISA Server Partner, Britestream’s SSL Security NIC solution meets the highest standards and provides valuable security functionality to help customers keep their networks more secure. By completing ISA certification testing conducted by Veritest, Britestream becomes the newest member in the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Acceleration and Key Management Partners category.  

Britestream’s SSL Security NIC provides the fastest SSL transaction processing (up to 10,000 tps).  In addition to performance benefits, the Britestream card can be installed right inside an ISA 2004 Server, helping to maximize existing rack space.  ISA Server 2004 is Microsoft’s integrated firewall, VPN and Web cache product that features a completely updated security architecture that has been specifically designed to help publish and protect Microsoft applications, such as Exchange Server and Outlook Web Access (OWA), Windows SharePoint Services, and Internet Information Services (IIS). With Britestream’s solution, customers receive additional security enhancements including advanced cryptographic functions and on-card storage of sensitive private keys and certificates.  SSL traffic will be completely offloaded to more effectively enable and protect remote Exchange or SharePoint Portal Server access directly from Outlook or Internet Explorer without the need to use a VPN.
