PressBritestream Certified as Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server
Partner Britestream’s SSL Security NIC provides the fastest SSL transaction processing (up to 10,000 tps). In addition to performance benefits, the Britestream card can be installed right inside an ISA 2004 Server, helping to maximize existing rack space. ISA Server 2004 is Microsoft’s integrated firewall, VPN and Web cache product that features a completely updated security architecture that has been specifically designed to help publish and protect Microsoft applications, such as Exchange Server and Outlook Web Access (OWA), Windows SharePoint Services, and Internet Information Services (IIS). With Britestream’s solution, customers receive additional security enhancements including advanced cryptographic functions and on-card storage of sensitive private keys and certificates. SSL traffic will be completely offloaded to more effectively enable and protect remote Exchange or SharePoint Portal Server access directly from Outlook or Internet Explorer without the need to use a VPN. “We’re pleased to be adding Britestream as the newest certified member of our ISA Server Partner Program,” said Steve Brown, Director of Security Product Management for Microsoft. “Britestream adds a layer of security and enhanced performance for ISA by providing 100% SSL offload for these secure remote access requirements.” “By processing data in real time directly in the network stream, Britestream technology handles secure data completely, autonomously and transparently while freeing up systems to handle the tasks they were designed for,” said Gordon Daugherty, Chief Marketing Officer for Britestream. “Our solution is the first SSL security NIC that is completely self-contained and manages all facets of SSL processing on a single PCI card. It offers customers plug-and-play simplicity and uncompromised performance with fortified protection.” About Britestream Media Contact: Britestream and Britestream Networks are trademarks of Britestream Networks, Inc.
