Computer and Semiconductor Industry Veteran Keith McAuliffe Joins Executive Team

Austin, Texas (May 11, 2004) – Layer N Networks, an Austin, Texas-based security solutions company, today announced that Keith McAuliffe has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. He reports directly to Layer N’s CEO, Mike Salas, and will be responsible for engineering, software development, subsystem development, operations, and manufacturing.

Mr. McAuliffe brings over 25 years in the computer and semiconductor industry to Layer N Networks, including 16 years at Compaq Computer Corporation. At Compaq, Mr. McAuliffe held several notable positions including VP of Engineering for the Industry Standard Server Division and VP-GM of Compaq’s Service Provider and dotCOM Business Unit. Most recently, Mr. McAuliffe held senior management positions at several high-tech startups including, RLX Technologies, Surgient Networks and ClearCube Technology. Mr. McAuliffe also serves on the board of Silicon Image Inc., a $100M publicly traded fabless semiconductor company.
